Assurant provides up to four weeks of 100% paid parental leave to help parents bond with a new child, whether due to birth, adoption, or surrogacy. This benefit is available to all benefits-eligible employees who give birth or complete an adoption or surrogacy placement after completing 90 days of employment. You can take the time off in four consecutive weeks, or split the time and use it in two, two-week increments. Parental leave must be taken within 12 months of the birth or placement of a child and is in addition to any pregnancy leave taken under the Short-Term Disability plan.
